Vegetarian Chaapwala in Mumbai- Indian Street food

It was a tough thing to find out a vegetarian chaapwala in Mumbai and we found him. All the vegetarian chaap and tandoor lovers this is for you.

Ghatkopar surprises us every now and then and recently we were taken aback when we spotted this live Chaapwala on the streets. The stall is named as “healthy bites” which also has outlets at Nashik, Pune and Thane too. The owners Kiran and Swapnil Patil are confident that this Vegetarian stall will definately work wonders as its rarely found in Ghatkopar.
Coming to dishes they serve Soya afghani chaap, soya masala chaap, soya malaichaap, paneer irani tikka, paneer achari tikka, mix masala and the list goes on. They also serve rolls here. We absolutely loved the paneer achari and paneer malai tikka chaaps as the taste was amazing while the soya masala was okayish. The soyas/panner chaaps are heated  inside the tandoor pot in a traditional manner for approx 5-7 minutes and served with green chutney. The USP of the chaap is that in few dishes they use the Kaaju-Badaam paste and little bit of fresh cream which makes the taste stand-out and more tasty. The pricing for half plate is 100 and full plate is around 180 which is a bit costly. Located just inside the khau-gully of ghatkopar east , vegetarians should give this a try. Saturday and Sundays its little bit crowded. Make sure you try out this vegetarian chaapwala in Mumbai if you are a foodie.

“I spotted this stall just few weeks back, and tried their paneer achari tikka chaap and loved it. Will soon try other rolls here as I stay just 10 minutes away from here”,says -Aryan Shah.
